The idea of "Welcome to Sudan" basically has come from the TV documentary holding the name of "Welcome" which is recorded and broadcast through the Sudan TV . This documentary has succeeded to start a long process aiming at breaking the barriers between the Sudan and its visitors . It reflects their impressions on Sudan and the Sudanese people ,the social and cultural aspects they most liked during their visit to the country , the safety they do enjoy while staying or moving in the country and then the touristic attractions they most liked in Sudan .

The " Welcome to Sudan " idea is a wide and long umbrella targetting giving the advice , recommendatin and encouragement to the foreigners who are intending to visit Sudan for various purposes ,touristic , diplomatic , business ,humanitarian or educational .
